Managing Bad Stress and Removing It From Your Life
By:
There are many ways to manage stress and learn to
cope with life better. In this eCourse we will discuss
several ways to remove it from your life. There is no reason
for you to keep carrying your problems around and feel
stressed or anxious. So if you are ready to say goodbye to
stress and anxiety, let's get started.
Stress can be caused by many things including work, home
life, friends, family, money problems, and anything else
that causes you worry. Stress can cause physical and
emotional problems that make it difficult to deal with every
day tasks. Today we are going to talk about how to manage
stress and get it under control.
1. Make a list of things that trigger stress or cause you to
feel anxiety. Pay attention to the time of day these things
usually happen and whether it is other people that cause the
feeling of stress or certain tasks you must perform. Are
there certain foods or caffeinated drinks that
you eat or drink at the same time each day, that may help
contribute to the feeling of stress?
Many times by learning what causes stress, you can figure
out which circumstances to avoid in order to be calmer.
Maybe there are other food or drink choices you can make
that will help.
2. Are you getting enough sleep? If you are not getting
enough rest every day, it makes it much more difficult to
deal with even the simplest tasks. Put yourself on a strict
sleep schedule for the next seven days and see if it helps.
3. When you feel yourself becoming stressed or anxious,
practice saying STOP!, and then count from 100 backwards
while relaxing to try to relieve stress.
4. Take some time each day to relax and daydream. Imagine
yourself relaxing in your favorite spot, whether it be
walking on the beach or sitting on a park bench reading.
Taking a few deep slow breaths and hold it in for 10 seconds
and then slowly let it out.
Stress does not have to control your life. You are the
master of your own emotions and can control most occurrences
of stress. By paying attention to what causes you stress or
anxiety, you will know when you need to stop and take
another direction. Find your inner peace by taking time to
relax and let go.

Smooth Out The Rough Edges Of Stress
By:
For many people everyday things can bother them. It could
be someone you live with, traffic to work, money problems,
or the people you work with. You need to learn how to deal
with these situations since they are daily occurrences.
There are a lot of ways that you can make stress disappear
and make your life more enjoyable.
If the people at home are getting on your nerves, try to get
out of the house and take a long walk in the park, or a
drive through a scenic area. Sometimes just removing
yourself from a stressful situation can smooth out the edges
on your nerves.
Take a nice bubble bath, light some nice scented candles and
turn on some soothing music. Let your mind wander and
imagine you are walking along the beach in bare feet and
just listening to the sounds of the waves. Let all your
problems go for the time being and just relax.
Make your favorite beverage and go sit on the porch and just
watch the birds. Maybe you could take this time to read a
book you've been putting off reading. Just relax sit back
and read.
Spend some time daydreaming. Imagine you are sitting on the
side of a rushing stream and just listening to the water and
watching it flow over the rocks. Feel the water splash on
your face. Imagine you are drinking some of this pure
delicious water and let yourself go.
The better you get at learning how to calm your stress, the
healthier your body will be. Practice relaxation techniques
whenever you feel stress or anxiety taking over. By doing
this, you will be able to breakaway anytime you need to
overcome stress.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
dither. Do your best; take it as it comes. You can handle
anything if you think you can. Just keep your cool and your
sense of humor. "
Tips to Help You Avoid Stress
By:
One thing that can really cause a lot of stress is
not managing your time right. If you find you're
procrastinating on getting things finished, you will find
yourself feeling stressed at the last minute.
Write a list at the end of each day of things you need to do
the next day. By having your list ready when you start each
day it will make it easier on you. When you start each day
look at your list, and start doing one task immediately. If
you are organized, your whole day will go
much smoother.
When you are at work, you need to get away from your
workstation or desk during breaks. If you start feeling
stressed out or anxious, just get up and walk around for a
few minutes. If it is at all possible, walk outside for a
minute and get some fresh air. You can then face the task
feeling calmer and your thoughts will be more clear.
Be sure to get plenty of exercise. Exercise will get your
blood flowing which makes your body run smoother. If your
body is healthier things that would normally stress you out,
seem to be easier. If you work close to a park, why not
bring a sandwich for lunch and walk to the park each day
during your lunch break. Not only will you be getting some
extra exercise, but you can enjoy the scenery to help you
relax.
Do not overindulge in caffeine. If you have a habit of
drinking 5 or 10 cups of coffee every morning, try cutting
back or only drinking 2 cups of regular coffee and the rest
decaf. Caffeine can stimulate your nerves and add to stress.
Take time each day to find humor in life. Don't take
yourself so serious. Laughing is great for your emotional
health. Tape some of your favorite sitcoms and take a few
minutes each day to watch them. Talk to friends and family
members and are known for making you laugh. Whatever you do
to find humor just be sure to take time every day to laugh.
Eating Healthy To Fight Stress
By:
Sometimes we find ourselves getting so busy that we
forget to take care of our bodies and our health. When
you're in a hurry it's easier to just stop and grab fast
food then is to make a nutritious meal. This can cause your
body to become unhealthy and cause you stress. Here are some
tips to help you make it easier to get your daily nutrition
on the run.
Never skip breakfast. If you start your day without
breakfast your energy level may be low which can only add to
your stress. Have a fruit smoothie or a bowl of high-fiber
cereal to help keep your mind off of hunger.
Bring small Ziploc bags filled with healthy snacks to work
with you to keep you going through the day. You could fill
them with carrot sticks, celery sticks, trail mix, raw
shelled sunflower seeds and granola bars.
Make a lunch at home to bring to work with you. If you have
made it a habit to go out for fast food for lunch it could
be causing you stress. Eating fast food that is filled with
preservatives will wreak havoc on your body and mind. Make a
nutritious lunch that includes a high-protein foods to keep
your energy level up.
Keep your home stocked with healthy foods that give you
energy. Many times stress is caused because your body is not
being fed right. Be sure to eat plenty of fruits and
vegetables and get enough fiber and protein in your diet
every day. You will find that you will have much more energy
and feel less stressed just by changing your diet.
There are many new products with high protein like protein
water, protein drinks used for smoothies, yogurt and other
goods that are easy to carry with you to keep yourself from
getting shaky and stressed out. Take care of your
nutritional needs and you will find your stress level
getting lower.
How To Handle An Anxiety Attack
By:
An anxiety attack is a sudden overwhelming fear
that comes to you without any warning and usually for no
apparent reason. They can last anywhere from five to 10
minutes or longer. An anxiety attack is way more intense
than just dealing stress. At times you can feel like you are
absolutely losing your mind or even feel like you were
dying.
Some of the symptoms of anxiety attacks include . . .
* Fear of dying
* Crying for no apparent reason
* A pounding heartbeat, generally faster than usual
* sweating for no apparent reason
* Dizziness, nausea, & lightheadedness
* Difficulty with your breathing
* Tingling and/or numbness in the face
* Distortions of perceptions
* An out of body feeling as if you are no longer attached
to it.
* Fear of losing control and doing something embarrassing
* Feeling of impending doom
Anxiety attacks can be very frightening. If you are in
public it makes it even more difficult to deal with. Here
are some tips to help you work through them quickly and
easily before they become worse.
If you are driving, find the first place you can to pull
over. Put your head down and start doing some deep
breathing. Imagine your favorite place that makes you feel
happy. See yourself in this place and repeat to yourself,
relax, relax, relax.
If you are still feeling shaky after a few minutes of this,
try turning on some calming music and lean back and listen
as you count slowly backwards from 600 by 4's. Example: 600
- 596 - 592 - 588 - 584 and so on. This will help keep your
mind focused on the numbers instead of the anxiety attack.
Keep doing whichever of these tips that seems to help the
most. Once you have calmed down, you can get back on the
road to travel to your destination.
If you are at work or any other public place, your best bet
is to go to the restroom and sit in a stall and try to calm
down. Think of happy times and focus on all the good things
in your life. Do not let any bad thoughts come into your
mind. If you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, stop
and focus again on the positives.
Having an anxiety attack is a serious condition, however
many times it can be controlled. Follow the tips above and
see if you can keep it under control. If you find that none
of these things help, you may want to consider going to a
physician for help.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you slow down, step back a moment and put things in
perspective, you can then move on with more efficiency. It
only takes a moment to adapt and control how you respond.

Find Time To Relax Everyday
By:
Everyone suffers from stress from one extent or
another. When you feel stressed out, you become fatigued and
it is hard to have anything but a miserable day. The best
thing you can do for yourself is take time to relax. I know
what you're thinking, I don't have time to relax. The thing
is when you're stressed, you are actually less productive.
It actually helps you work smarter instead of harder. So, by
taking time to relax, you will feel better and therefore it
will be easier to get things done.
Here is a great way to relax completely
Meditation can be very relaxing. Simply sit in a comfortable
chair and relax each muscle one at a time starting at your
feet and working up towards your head. First tightened the
muscles and then relax and completely. Start at your feet
and repeat to yourself relax, next move
up to your ankles and calf’s and tightened them and then let
them just relax. Next move up to your knees, and your
thighs. Now workup to your buttocks, stomach and chest,
first tightening the muscles and then completely relaxing
them.
Now place your arms out to your sides and tighten all the
muscles all the way up to the shoulders and then completely
relax them and let them hang down. Now tightened your neck
and jaw line and then release and relax. Turn your head from
side to side and then let it fall forward and completely
relax.
Now while listening to soothing music sit still for about 15
minutes and completely let your body and mind relax and
wander off to a calm relaxing setting. Do this at least once
every day or twice is even better.
Here is a relaxing webpage that you can watch whenever
you feel stress coming on. Turn up your speakers and go
here.

Are Your Friends or Family Members Causing You Stress?
By:
Do you have one of those friends or family members
who is constantly calling you with all their problems? Does
it always seem like everything they have to say is negative
and it's always an emergency listen to the right than? Do
they make you feel guilty if you don't have time for them
every second of the day?
It may be time to look for some new friends or find ways to
spend less time with these family members. People like this
will only drain your energy levels and rarely ever add any
value to your life. You may be keeping them as a friend
because it is difficult as an adult sometimes to make new
friends. If this is the only reason for keeping this friend
around, it is definitely time for a change. With family
members it is of course not possible to replace them, you
can however spend less time with them.
There are many ways to meet people who's company you can
enjoy, rather than them being a constant drain on your mind.
Why not sign up for and adult education course , join a book
club, find a local men or women's club, sign up for a dance
class or some other enjoyable activity available in your
local area.
There are many places where you can meet new people. Take
some time to look around and find an enjoyable club or
activity where you can meet new more positive people. As
long as you keep hanging around people that drain your
energy, you will find it almost impossible to lower your
stress.
Life is short. Do you really want to spend your time
associating with people who are always trying to keep you
down just so they can have somebody at their own level. You
deserve much better than this. Starting today, spend as
little time with these people as you can and start making
new more positive friends.

Try Herbal Relaxants To Reduce Stress and Anxiety
By:
There are some wonderful herbal remedies that will help
you with stiff joints and muscle aches. Some of the best
ones include Valerian Root, lavender, ginger and Kava Kava.
If you want to, you can try the *Stress Formula I use,
I highly recommend it, it really works, at least for me.
Just click on the url below and go to The Build4Life
Institute product store. For legal purposes I must disclose
to you, that the store is owned by me.
The
Build4life Institute Health Store
Valerian Root contains antispasmodic properties which helps
relieve muscle aches and cramps. Take 400 to 450 mg or half
a teaspoon of liquid extract to help relax your muscles.
Try this at first to see if it helps you have a relaxed and
restful sleep. If it does not seem to be helping you can
raise the dose to 800 to 1300 mg.
Take a nice bath using lavender as it has a nice calming
effect on the body and is a great muscle relaxant. When
mixed in a nice warm bath, lavender oil helps release
tension to help you relax.
Try a ginger bath. Take 2 pounds of fresh grated ginger and
add to a gallon of water and heat until hot. Steep for 10
minutes. Strain the mixture and then pour it into your bath
and soak for 20 minutes or more. This will help encourage
circulation and it's great for bursitis or arthritis.
Take kava kava capsules before retiring at night to help you
sleep better and relax you. You will be amazed at how great
you will feel in the morning. Kava Kava does not give you
that groggy feeling the next morning like regular sleeping
pills will.
You can also try the Sleep Rite Formula, also
found at The Build4Life Institute website.
The
Build4Life Institute Health Store
When your muscles are relaxed, your whole body feels better
which in turn will make it easier for you to perform your
daily tasks easier. Try one or two of these remedies and see
if they help you.
